Summer Camp: “Destination Diversified”

About “Destination Diversified”
“Destination Diversified”, our summer camp, addresses the need for increased availability of music education for South Philadelphia’s most vulnerable children from infancy to 12 years of age. Our program aims to develop both cognitive and soft skills such as problem-solving, attention focusing skills, aptitude for math and science, and self-directed learning. This program is aligned with Diversified Community Services‘ goal of improving education conditions for our youngest of children during their most formative years.

Curriculum Overview
In addition to language arts, math, and science, each camper receives instruction in vocal and instrumental music, speech and drama, and art. Destination Diversified also encourages athletic activities as a part of the program. Through project-based learning, campers will have a stimulating experience that is engaging, meaningful, adaptable to a variety of learning styles, and most of all, FUN!

Diversified Community Services has collaborated with Settlement Music School to offer summer music lessons. The campers are sure to have great summer fun creating, playing, learning, and exploring at Destination Diversified!
